Luuup: The First & Last Litter Box One Might Own

Sometimes the simplest of ideas can be the most innovative ones. Such is the case Luuup, a cat litter box, composed of three identical sifting trays, which is designed to be the first and last litter box a user uses and cutting down the time and effort needed to clean.

For pet owners, cat little boxes are unpleasant to deal with but also a necessity. Oftentimes, current models lead to wasted litter or can be complicated and expensive, with fragile parts that need to be cleaned.

The Luuup litter box is a simple contraption created to solve these issues that pet owners face. It is composed of three identical sifting trays, one stacked on top of the other. When two are stacked together, a solid base is formed. When the third is added, it creates a perpetual sifting liter box.

The process of cleaning up litter can then be broken down into three steps:

  1. The user lifts the top tray and the waste is separated from clean litter.
  2. The waste can be thrown out, and all the clean litter is saved.
  3. Turn the tray 180 degrees and then put it at the bottom of the stack. The bottom tray will be turned the right way if it matches the same orientation as the top tray. Tabs on the side offer a helpful, tactile way of determining whether the stacking was done correctly, as the little rocks back and forth (as opposed to nesting together) if the tray is incorrectly placed.
